Abel Tasman stamp

A portrait supposedly of Abel Tasman features in The A to Z of New Zealand stamp series produced by New Zealand Post in 2008. This image of Tasman is taken from an oil painting of a family group held by the National Library of Australia. A leading Netherlands art historian has determined that the figures in this painting are an unknown Dutch family, not Tasman and his family as was previously believed.
