Elizabeth was the second wife of William Joseph Cutler. They were married at St Luke's Anglican which still stands on New North Road, Mt Albert on 5 October 1872.
She was baptised Elizabeth Futcher, on the 28th January 1824 at St Peter and St Paul, Fareham, the second daughter of Thomas Futcher and Ann Louisa Horsford of Fareham, Hampshire. In 1841 and 1851 Thomas Futcher was a draper living with his family in High Street, Fareham. Both parents died in the 1850s.
William Cutler had arrived in New Zealand on board the Tyburnia in 1863, as part of Brame's Albertland Settlement. Prior to being widowed in 1885 Elizabeth was living at Mahurangi. The electoral rolls indicate she continued to live in the Warkworth area until 1906.
However, when she died on 1 June 1908, she was at the house of Mrs Hamilton in Seymour Street, Auckland. Her funeral was conducted in Warkworth and she was probably buried locally.
