My Great grandfather was Major D. A. Blackburn and he was the one who looked after No 1 Dog Major after his original owner was KIA. During the Greece and Crete campaign my Great Grandfather commanded 19th Btn after the CO Col Varnhem was wounded. On a side note my Grandfather was also a private in 19th Btn and was captured on Crete his name was Richard (Dick) Ensor
