Hello I am an Australian currently researching the Maori culture for a literary piece. I am curious to know if there where any great traditional differences between those of the North Island and those of the south who I believe are called by another name. I know that the south practised pacifism. I am curious to know of the types of greeting dances like the well known Haka but more for welcoming or recognition between friends and family. I hope you can answer a few of these questions for me.
