The view from Plugge's Plateau at Gallipoli.

The Anzacs captured the plateau on 25 April 1915, and named it after the commanding officer of the Auckland Infantry Battalion, Arthur Plugge.

Ari Burnu point is at left and the Anzac commemorative site at right. The road leads north to Suvla. Scrolling right are the outposts, the Camel Hump, Walker's Ridge and Plugge's Plateau Cemetery. The tree line behind the cemetery is at Lone Pine.
