1970s fashion
The decade of flares, wide lapels and platform shoes is personified here by Nick Carr, who wears an entry in the 1975 Benson & Hedges Fashion Design award. His Lyn Massey jumpsuit is an example of a one-piece garment that was popular with both men and women. In the 1970s tobacco companies sponsored events ranging from fashion shows to sport and horse racing.
