Te Pourewa Whakamaharatanga, The Tower of Remembrance is an art installation located outside the Auckland War Memorial Museum in the Auckland Domain.

The tower is covered with around 200 solid brass quatrefoils designed by New Zealand artist Max Gimblett. The quatrefoils are a mix of those made by Gimblett as part of The Art of Remembrance project – a three-month-long public exhibition of thousands of quatrefoils on the exterior of St David's Presbyterian Church on Khyber Pass Road in 2015 – and others newly-made for the tower. The Art of Remembrance project helped raise funds for the earthquake-strengthening and restoration of the church.

On 20 September 2016 the tower was unveiled in memory of all New Zealanders who lost their lives in the First World War. The date was chosen to mark the centenary of the death of local soldier and St David’s church member Sergeant James Rankin in the Battle of the Somme.

The tower will stand for five years, after which a decision will be made about its future.
