Awhitu First World War memorial

On 15 November 1920 the Awhitu First World War memorial was unveiled in the Awhitu Domain, Awhitu Central. This was a granite obelisk inscribed with a roll of honour listing 41 men from the district who had served in the war, including the names of eight fallen.
