Roll of honour boards listing soldiers from the Cook Islands who served in the First World War, photographed in the 1920s.

Both honour boards are currently housed in the Pioneer Lounge of the Cook Islands RSA. They had originally stood in the old courthouse, but were moved just before a fire destroyed the building.

I'm trying to gather any information I can about both my great-great-grand fathers who were soldiers in the first world war. Are there any other websites I can browse through for such info? Or specific museums/places I could visit? Meitaki Maata

I am doing a research on Angene Angene...he wrote his name on the wall of the underground caves near Arras in France...his grandson George Angene is now a member of parliament in Rarotonga..I wanted information on his movements since he left the Cook Islands for the Second World War. I plan to do a 40 minutes documentary of him. I believe that we the Cook Islands people need to know more of our history and our people`s own stories. Thankyou.
