First lighthouse at Pencarrow Head

The first lighthouse at Pencarrow Head, built about 1852, was actually just the lighthouse keeper's house with a lamp in the window. The first lighthouse keeper at Pencarrow was George Bennett.

This drawing was published in Transactions of NZ Institute, 1924.
