Forbury School war memorial

Memorial detailMemorial detail

Forbury School war memorial.

Forbury School war memorial has gone, demolished apparently in the 1970s.

The Principle of Forbury School (Mrs Janice Tofia) showed me the pieces of the wrought iron pedament arch and a tablet that has been kept or re-discovered at the dump and she has a plan to get a sort of replica memorial re-erected somewhere at the school, once she can locate the marble tablet with the names on it. She has the wrought iron lintel and the dedication tablet (damaged) as pictured.

Can anyone help locate the rest of the orginal memorial? Please email info@nzhistory.net.nz if you have any more information.
