T F (Foster) Archer is buried at the Boatmans Cemetery.

The memorial was unveiled on 21 March 1926, according to an article in the Press, 22 March 1926, p.11.

Dawn parades have been held in Granity since inception and are still well attended.
Westport Municipal Band provide music and bugel duties formally the duty of Granity and Waimangaroa Bands now in recess.
