Handlebar moustache, 1950

Handlebar moustache, 1950

This man with a handlebar moustache was photographed in 1950. By this time the moustache was generally out of favour with New Zealand men, but this style would have been common 50 years earlier. The style was named after the push-bike handlebars it resembles. Its wearers had to trim and wax the moustache into shape.
