Influenza gazette notice

Influenza gazette notice

This notice in the New Zealand Gazette gave special powers to all District Health Officers to close public gathering places that might cause the spread of influenza.

DHOs in the main cities had been already been conferred special powers on 6 November 1918 at the time that influenza had been officially declared a 'Dangerous Infectious Diseasae'.

New Zealand Gazette, 1918, p3767.
