I have just viewed the War Memorial and read the list of the personelle who served overseas and my Aunt Oonah T Lundon 's name is still NOT on it. Oonah served in Noumea (then New Caledonia). Her husband has her service medals.( George H Booker late of the Grenadier Guards,now resident at Beckenham Courts.(aged 93yrs).
Our family would greatly appreciate the rightful inclusion of her name as she was a Kaiapoi resident at the time and the only service woman who went overseas from Kaiapoi
3 years ago I spoke to Kaiapoi RSA 's Kevin Brown (then president?) about this and at the time it had to be put on hold because of the eathquake,
Please let me know when this omission is going to be corrected Thank you
