Rarotongan ammunition handlers

Rarotongan soldiers standing next to artillery shells, about 1916–18. During the British advance through Palestine the New Zealand Rarotongan Company were used as ammunition handlers attached to No. 97 Heavy Battery, Royal Regiment of Artillery.
