Scenery Preservation Board, 1912

This photograph of the 1912 Scenery Preservation Board, the minister of scenery preservation and the inspector was taken just prior to the fall of the Liberal ministry. The prime minister, Thomas Mackenzie, was the minister of scenery preservation. He was an enthusiast of the outdoors, plants and animals. His successor was the Reform prime minister, William Massey.
