Shrapnel, the monkey mascot of the Mortar Platoon, 1 RNZIR, is pictured here with Platoon Commander Lieutenant Tony Loorparg. These photographs were taken at Simmangan or Batu Lintang, Borneo, where a mortar section was located with C Company, 1 RNZIR.
