Sir Bernard Freyberg

Sir Bernard Freyberg

In 1951 Sir Bernard Freyberg (1946–52) became Lord Freyberg of Wellington, New Zealand and of Munstead in the County of Surrey. Back in Britain, he was appointed deputy constable and lieutenant-governor of Windsor Castle, where died in 1963. Here Lord and Lady Freyberg stroll in the castle grounds in 1961.

Iam trying to find a photo of General Freyberg in Hospital after His aircraft accident in 1944. The Army Nursing Sister in the group by His Bed is My Aunty, Connie Lee. I have seen the photograph some years ago in a newspaper, but searching all the obvious websites has not brought it to light. Do You have any suggestions. Thank You
