My grandfather, Alexander O'Keefe from Wyndham / Makarewa, served with the 6th Contingent, I'm positive that he is the man seated in the 2nd row, with moustache & dark hat, looking away from the camera. Alexander returned from South Africa and passed away in 1950.

My great uncle Matthew John Ward was in the Sixth Contingent. Does anyone have any photos of the Sixth Contingent they could share with me. Many thanks .

Hi Ann - not sure about photos, but there is a Bertie O'Neil on Cenotaph: http://goo.gl/JEDNr (note this spells surname with one l). Leonard's service record is available on Archway (again spelt with one l): http://goo.gl/lD69N . Regards, Jamie Mackay

I have pictures of the Sixth Contingent stealing sheep and chickens, and burning down civilian houses.
