New Zealand Mounted Rifle Association trophy

A trophy of the First New Zealand Mounted Rifle Association, founded during the South African ('Boer') War.

The trophy, nicknamed 'The Cutter', is an enamel cup overlaid with silver bands  engraved with the various reunion dates of the First New Zealand Mounted Rifles Association, 1901-56. The Association was founded aboard HM Troopship Orient on 26 January 1901.
