The steamer <em>Penguin</em>

In 1895 the old Penguin initiated regular ferry sailings between Lyttelton and Wellington. Fourteen years later, while running between Picton and Wellington, the Penguin sank with the loss of 75 lives.

hi nz folks,i have been to nz twice.my son lives there.i have in my possesion a paper,published in 1909.the canterbury times,in it is a supplement devoted to the wreck of the ss,penguin.it has dozens of really good b and w photos and in very good condition.sincerely liam.
