Tuakau War Memorial Hall

Tuakau War Memorial Hall.

On 18 March 1918, a roll of honour listing local men who had been on active service during the war was unveiled at the Tuakau public hall. Work soon began on a more substantial memorial to the town and district's fallen, and on 15 September 1924 the Tuakau War Memorial Hall was officially opened. In 1929 a memorial plaque was placed on the front of the new town hall.
