Waiuta in the snow

Waiuta in the snow

As somebody brought up not far from the Austrian Alps, Divis would have felt quite at home in conditions like this. But ‘Nob Hill’ in mid view was no upper-crust ski resort, instead getting its nickname because mine officials lived there. The slight wisp of smoke from the Post Office chimney in the foreground suggests that at least someone was contemplating braving the cold on his daily round.
