How many generations have passed since our tipuna tane 'Hua' was cursed and his name dammed before his story can be told. Why does no historian take up his story and why is there nothing in records for his ancestors to remember him by. What i have been told in my youth is that when he opposed the Treaty Of Waitangi which he was a signature to, he was hunted down killed and defiled and cursed by other Tohunga,Chiefs, who stood by Crown, at the request of the Governor.
