Bruce Comfort tells us, 'The memorial is quite complex for such a small district locality, including as it does a large reserve with seats and tables , a roadside dedication tablet in red (Aberdeen) granite with an added tablet to memorialise VE day in 1995, a flagpole, a grove of ten memorial trees - one for each WWII serviceman memorialised on the main memorial and a somewhat enigmatic VE VJ day tablet.'
In November 2015 nine names were added to the Albury war memorial. According to Jeremy Sutherland, the original monument was completed in the 1029s and these nine had been left off due to a lack of information because they served with Australian, Canadian, and British regiments. The nine added were:
Private Harry Adamson, Private Edward Henry Farr, Private Joseph McGowan, Private Thomas Ford McNickel, Trooper George Daniel Murray, Trooper William Williams Ross, Trooper Henry Richard Smith, Trooper Henry Ernest Snushall and Private Frederick George Yates.
