Image

The Alfriston School First World War roll of honour was unveiled in December 1919. It listed the names of 26 old boys who had served during the war, four of whom had made the supreme sacrifice; one former teacher, Mr H.J. Moore-Jones; and one former girl pupil, Staff Nurse Marjorie Harrowell. Nurse Harrowell had embarked with the 41st Reinforcements in July 1918.
