Esk Valley war memorial.

Comprises a grey granite square obelisk in two pieces on a concreted river stone base.

The memorial was made by McBride Timaru and judging by the style and the engraving style, they would have made the Southburn WW1 memorial too, but there is nothing on it to confirm.

Records the names of 11 local servicemen and one from Kohika, who were killed including the date and location of their death. Records the name of one WW2 airman killed over Germany in 1943.
