Ohaupo Memorial Park

Ōhaupō’s Second World War memorial, Ohaupo Memorial Park, is perhaps best approached under the wrought iron arch at the entrance to the walkway from SH3. The narrow pathway leads to a brick pavilion, with extensive playing fields beyond. A granite memorial tablet set into an exterior wall of the pavilion lists the names of 12 local men who died in the First World War and seven who died in the Second World War.
