The 1953–4 royal tour of NZ – Canterbury to Bluff

Video file

Part three of The royal tour of New Zealand 1953-54 starts at Longbeach on the Canterbury plains, where the royal couple arrived on 22 January 1954. From here they travelled south to Timaru and Dunedin, then on through Southland before reaching Bluff on 30 January.

At Bluff they boarded the SS Gothic and, after an unscheduled visit to Milford Sound, left New Zealand.
