Drury-Runciman First World War memorial, 2009 - showing names.

Prime Minister W.F. Massey unveiled the Drury-Runciman war memorial on 25 April 1922. This listed the names of 19 local men who had died during the war. After the Second World War a further eight names were added. On 8 August 1969 the memorial was relocated from its original island site on the Great South Road to a new site near the Drury hall. In 1993 an inscription was added to commemorate service in Korea, Malaya, Borneo and Vietnam.
