Poster 'No Pasaran! Madrid 7 de Noviembre'.

This poster recalls the attack on Madrid by General Franco's rebel armies on 7 November 1936. The International Brigades arrived the following day, bolstering the city's defences against the assault. The phrase 'No Pasaran!' ('They shall not pass') was widely used during the Spanish Civil War following Dolores Ibarruri Gomez's famous 'No Pasaran' speech of 18 July 1936.
