Postcard of the ferry Maori

Postcard of the ferry Maori

Built in 1953, this was the second inter-island ferry to bear the name Maori and the third ship to do so in the Union Steam Ship Company's long history. In 1965 the Maori was converted to a roll-on roll-off vessel.
