Ayrton, Catherine, died 12 December 1919 'at the residence of Mr and Mrs W Pritchard, McLean Street, Catherine Ayrton, daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Ayrton aged 67. 

Born 1852 the deceased who was well-known and highly respected, had been here for a long time and then went to Waipawa, but for the last three years lived quietly with her niece, Mrs V Pritchard, by whom loving care and attention was bestowed. Mr Tom Ayrton, of Pahiatua is a brother, and Mrs T Bloor formerly of Woodville, is a sister.
