Edith Mary Nairn Howorth was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Howorth, a farmer, and Jane Bowman Brebner. (See 150 Jane Howorth)
When Edith signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Walton Park, Green Island – her occupation was given as Mother’s help.
She married Thomas Holness Davey on 27 January 1899 and they had two children.
Edith died on 28 October 1946 and Thomas died the following year, they are buried with their daughter in the Green Island Cemetery.
