Elizabeth’s daughter Hattie/Ettie was born in 1881 and she married Robert Elliot on 20 April 1883 in Queenstown.

They had eight children and when Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition they were living in Glenorchy, at the head of Lake Wakatipu, where Robert worked as a fencer, miner and small farmer.

In the 1900s Elizabeth and Robert retired to Dunedin where Robert died in 1918.

Elizabeth died on 3 August 1958 at Ross Home, Dunedin, she is buried with Robert in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
