Biography contributed by Clare Cramond
Frances Evans may have been the mother of Thomas Martin Goodall Evans, the son of Mary Francis and John Evans, who was buried in the Frasertown Cemetery in 1886.
Frances Evans was on the 1893 Electoral Roll as 'married'. John Evans was also listed as a labourer in Frasertown. They had several children and Frances’ name on the birth register is given as Mary Francis, Mary Frances, or Mary. It is likely she was the mother of Bertha Evans who died tragically in 1899.
This links to Mary Ann Frances Goodall, who originally came from the South Island. She died in Dannevirke in 1929.
