Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Georgina Janet Affleck was born in 1860 in New Zealand – the daughter of Andrew Affleck, a general labourer, and Eliza Vallance.
She married George Ferdinand Fodor, an artist, in 1880 and they had three daughters.
In 1884 George was declared bankrupt and in the late 1880s the family moved to Christchurch.
George appears to have moved to Melbourne, Australia about 1891 and Georgina and the children went to live in Waikouaiti north of Dunedin near her father.
George died in Melbourne in 1930, he is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery.
Georgina died at Dunedin on 25 October 1947, she appears to be buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
