Hannah Elizabeth Brown was born about 1877 in Ireland – the daughter of William Brown & Katherine Jones. (See 163 Katherine Brown)

She emigrated to Otago in the 1870’s with her family, possibly on the “Forfarshire” in 1879.

When Hannah signed the suffrage petition she was living in Watt’s Road, North East Valley, Dunedin.

She married farmer Thomas Hamilton on August 10th1904 & they had one daughter.

In 1925 Hannah & Thomas were farming in Southland.

After this they disappear from the records – their later life is unclear.
