Helen Louisa Lumsden was born about 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Lumsden and Emma Neal. (See 136 Emma Lumsden)
When Helen signed the suffrage petiton she was living with her family at Catlins River near Owaka working as a dressmaker.
She married Francis Pollock, a farmer & builder, on Novembe14 1894 at Owaka – they had no children.
In later life they retired to live in Waimate where Helen died on 3 August 1934 and Francis died in 1951, they are buried together in the Waimate Cemetery.
