Isabella Anderson Forbes was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Forbes and Barbara Lewis.
When she signed the suffrage petition Isabella was living on the family farm at Sandymount on the Otago Peninsula.
She married William Murray, a widower and farmer, in 1932.
William died in 1933, he is buried with his first wife in the Portobello Cemetery.
Isabella died on 10 August 1956 in Portobello, she is buried in the family grave in the Portobello Cemetery.
