Elizabeth (Lizzie) McClune was born on April 4th 1871 in Donaghadee, County Down, Ireland, the daughter of Joseph McClune and Margaret Stoupe.
She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1874 on the Tweed. They settled in Waikouaiti where Lizzie signed the suffrage petition.
Lizzie died at the family home on September 27th 1908. She is buried in the family grave in the Waikouaiti Cemetery.
