Elizabeth/Lizzie McPhee was born about 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of William McPhee, a farmer, and Elizabeth Lonney. (See 136 Elizabeth McPhee)

She grew up in Owaka where she signed the suffrage petition.

After her parents’ deaths in the 1910s Elizabeth remained in Owaka – she died in Dunedin on 5 July 1955 and is buried in the Owaka Cemetery.
