Margaret Evelyn Finch was born in 1874 in Dunedin – the daughter of Samuel Finch, a carrier, and Elizabeth Strain. (See 164 Elizabeth Finch)
When she signed the suffrage petition Margaret was living with her family in North East Valley, Dunedin.
She married John Waddell Roberts, a tailor, in 1896 - they had seven children and lived in Hastings.
Margaret died on 26 May 1952 and John died in 1954, they are buried together in the Hastings Cemetery.
