Christina Anderson Shanks was married to Thomas Shanks, a carpenter.

When Christina signed the suffrage petition they were living in Walker St, Dunedin.

Thomas died in the Dunedin Hospital in 1908, he is buried in the Southern Cemetery.

In 1925 Christina was living in Grange St, Dunedin, after this she disappears from the records.
