Sara Hex Harris was born about 1861 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of John Harris and Ellen Pulling. (See 90 Mrs Harris)
She sailed for Otago with her family in the early 1860s and they settled in Dunedin.
When Sara signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Walker Street working as a dressmaker.
She did not marry and she died on 30 January 1921 at her home in Dunedin.
She is buried with her brother and sister in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
