After this the family moved to Dunedin where Robert died in 1885 from 'brain fever' at the age of 38. He is buried in the Southern Cemetery with three of their children.
When Sarah signed the suffrage petition she was living in Cumberland St, Dunedin.
She died on 20 December 1919 and is buried with another three of their children in the Northern Cemetery.
