Ena Ryan remembers the outbreak of the First World War

Ena Ryan talking in the 1980s about her recollections of the announcement of war breaking out on the 5th of August 1914. Ena then recalls the troops marching through the streets of Wellington for departure. Includes insights into what the soldiers were carrying and the mood of the crowd.
