Thomas Turnbull's design for the Parliamentary Library

Thomas Turnbull's design for the Parliamentary Library

Thomas Turnbull's design for the library is shown as a side elevation from Hill Street, with part of the 1880s section at far right. Although the loss of a storey is evident from the Molesworth Street frontage, the changes made were less apparent when viewed from Hill Street, for the library blended well with Turnbull's 1883 masonry additions at the rear.
