11 June 1840Sheet 6 — The Bay of Plenty (Fedarb) Sheet
On 11 June 1840 two chiefs of Ngāi Tai signed the Bay of Plenty (Fedarb) sheet of the Treaty of Waitangi at Tōrere. The signatures of Pūtiki and Rangihuataki on the sheet provided to them by James W. Fedarb, trading master of the schooner Mercury, were also witnessed by Papahia and Wiremu Maihi. [1]
There were a total of three signatures in Tōrere, where Nā Taku signed on 14 June.
